If the CAUSE of aids is sexualality how do YOU explain African families, hemophiliacs and monkeys Ye Olde biggot of Naples? Please stop pretending to be God or to understand God's intentions. It's obnoxious and a disgrace.

Great job I think. Barnett really had class. He showed disappointment but dropped it. I think if nothing else it raised awareness about littering cigarette butts. I doubt it was a waste of time.

On Naples beaches, parks still smoker-friendly

CCSO needs Super Nanny.
My girlfriend won't take out the trash either and she's prone to fits when I tell her what to do... 9-1-1!
Does CCSO have to respond to these calls? If so, doesn't this sound really different than law enforcement? What crime was the kid committing?
This sounds like family counseling-- a whole different field than law enforcement I thought. I'd freak if I went to a shrink who carried a taser and gun and I'd laugh my #ss off if a cop asked me to lie on the couch and talk out my family problems.

Bramble-- Your logic is off: a girl got hit by a car in the beach parking lot, so ban cars. Fast food is unhealthy: ban fast food on the beach and teach people a lesson. First offense, a day with a personal trainer. Who are you to teach people a lesson? There's a littering problem on the beaches and CURRENT laws need to be enforced.

Beaches with no frisbee, limited volleyball, in most places no dogs- leashed or otherwise, no bbq's, no alcohol, no fires (unless you're a multi-million dollar hotel because multi-millionaire's have a few rights left) And now no smoking because someone in City Hall recently quit and now just can't stand the sight of it. City Hall sends this message: Vacationers can't relax and certainly shouldn't have fun activities at the beach, workers should just move out and natives should stay quiet. Welcome to the paradise of Naples where no one is really welcome!

On Sun may soon set on smoking at, around Naples beaches

Susan: Maybe you should have stayed in with your dogs. Let me guess, they're overweight too from lack of excercise.

Thanks Russell! Persuading us to believe it's the sheriff's staff to be blamed is rather disgusting-- I'm pretty sure they follow the orders passed down to them. Ever wonder if CCSO just purchases as many news reporters and editors who are on to them as they can?

view from afar: normally I might be inclined to agree about sports-- but I think we're seeing that under-valuing physical education has got us in a "big" jam.
Are some schools' cosmetic groundskeeping a bit over the top? Could we save $ if ALL the busses were converted to run on used veggie oil? There must be enough local resaurants to support that. Are there enough student auto mechanic classes in the area to make that a win-win if supervised or trained by that local whatchamacallit organization that does the conversions?

A study by Mirasol shows a water obstacle on the 8th hole will balance any effects the 1,100 additional homes will have on the environment. Study by Mirasol environmental "scientists" also shows a plan for a 300 gallon pond near the clubhouse will mitigate the effects of the first 800 homes. Mirasol funded a 100-feet of sidewalk for the kiddos and 10 feet of bike lane.
:) See-- no problems!

The trash talk above is disgusting. No wonder no one showed up. Using that logic: Black people did not go to "white" town because of white culture: "their pants are too short, their teeth are too white, they care more about money than people's lives and deaths." I wouldn't be "celebrating" with immoral rich white people like that in Downtown Naples either.
