As the number of cel phones with full QWERTY keyboards grows, I've been hoping there would be a return to something closer to proper English. Trying to type through the numeric keyboard can be a tedious process. (I've rarely done it, but when I have I got tired of it quickly.) There can also be message size limits in many devices.

#18: I never claimed the GOP's members are perfect. They have been too many who have been far from it. It just seems though that many more Republicans who are exposed for some kind of wrong-doing/embarassing behavior/etc. disappear from the public scene then Democrats.

Unfortunately there are too many investors who focus on the short term. They start panicing at the first sign of a problem.

At least the GOP aspires to higher standards. The Dems still have Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton not only riding high but being the superstars of their party.

I think this business of scaling back the GOP convention is going overboard. The President is not going is only unfortunately being done for looks. He can monitor the sitution just as easily in Minn. as he can in Washington.

I'm just somewhat concerned because all the spaghetti map tracks show it reaching some point and then suddenly turning radically (some of them in our general direction).
I know it's still a ways off and a lot can happen, but still worth monitoring.

#11: I assume you're referring to capital punishment...execution for people guilty of murder. In other words, being guilty of one or more major crimes involving the taking of life.
Generally, aborted babies are only guilty of existing.

I thought it just seemed to make the process take longer. I felt the electronic voting machines were about as easy as you could get. Maybe we should just have all candidates gather in one spot and voters can just point to their choice?
How many years did we have (at least where I grew up) the old voting machines with little switches to flip for the candidates you wanted? I don't remember any screaming about "paper trails" with them.

I just have to wonder how many people that voted for Vinny did so seriously?

If the fuel was being transported illegally, then they were doing their job. The mention of the subjects giving "conflicting stories" does make the situation that much more notable.
