Mike Scott is an arrogant racist who truly believes the uniform he wears belongs to him, not the citizens of Lee County. It's good to see that the general population is finally seeing his true colors.

Jeff - I couldn't agree more. Ben Nelson is a perfect fit for the mayoral gig in Bonita. He inspires people to work together, he thinks outside the box and he finds solutions.
Congratulations, Ben. The city is lucky to have you.

Jeff - You are exactly right on all counts. He is supposed to be representing ALL OF US when he's in uniform - Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, etc. alike. His arrogance has him believing that that's HIS uniform, not the uniform of the Office of Sheriff.

He did the very thing he accused Shoap of: Disgracing the uniform.

And yes, my friends, the man is a racist. Finally people are seeing that the emperor has no clothes.

The Collier case has NOT been determined to be foul play from what I've read and seen on TV. At this point it is a death investigation and not a murder investigation. Death investigations happen every day all over Southwest Florida without the public being notified. The case in Lee County was clearly a murder. NDN, you are wrong to compare these two investigations. Think before you write.

Wow - Jeff I think your idea is a great one regarding one law enforcement agency for the entire county. We have a perfect storm of circumstances to make it happen:

1. An economy that dictates the need to conserve dollars and eliminate duplication

2. An economy that also has the potential to cause increased crime, which means it will be more important than ever for seamless communication between law enforcement officers who serve Collier County

3. The perfect man - Keven Rambosk - to be at the helm.

Again, Jeff - Great idea. Let's hope is gathers steam!

Kevin Rambosk is a class act and we're lucky he's willing to be our sheriff.

Daryl Holton is a fine officer. I am sorry to hear that this happened. It's a loss to the people of Lee County.

Shame on them doing this to families in these hard economic times. From what I read here there was no dire emergency requiring them to make this move. Shame, I say.

I see people running red lights all the time. They need to be stopped. I applaud Kevin Rambosk for leading the charge with this. He is saving lives - perhaps yours or mine.
