Don't worry justsaynomore, the Coconut interchange is still on the books and the MPO is behind it. The NIMBY's won't win, and legally they can't, the interchange was a condition of their development order.

It a tough balancing act for the harbormaster and others involved. They are trying to make him comfortable until they can find a way to get him out of the area.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is sending a team from Florida to take the manatee back.

I saw the name Saunders and pyramid scheme and I thought it could be one of two things, being on the board of SFWMD or fundraising for some anti-private property rights environmental extremist organization. I'm sure if they keep digging, they'll find it has something to do with stealing property or buying out big sugar.

And William Jefferson Clinton was such a great role model? At least McCain got all his naughtiness out of the way before he got to the White House.
I would suggest take into consideration the state of the world today......the muslim extremists and the people who hate us........we can't take a chance on a guy who has some connections with the muslim world. The risk is just too great, unless you want your kids to be bowing down to alla and his hoochies every day at noon.

Well, the law is the law, but I can't see what the problem is with the personal harvesting of a gator by a Fl Cracker native who has been doing it as part of his culture for generations. Gator harvesting became illegal 'cause their population was threatened.......now that we have millions of them coming out of our butts, harvesting is still illegal. This is a prime example of the govt taking and never giving back. The manatee is another one that has been harvested for consumption by Fl natives, and I was really looking forward to having some again, but I don't think they are going to take it off the list either. Its been a real shame what they've done to our local history, no more sea turtle, no more manatee, no more mullett, no more black bear.......

I can't believe these people think they are entitled to whatever they want, this is crazy. An employer is not free to make economic decisions? If my employer cuts benefits, I'm not entitled to anything, so why should these people? Because its taxpayer money? Thats exactly why.........all these unions representing public employees are taking the taxpayers to the cleaners, and we can't do anything about it.
